This page is dedicated to my arcade cabinet. I started this project after my friend Ryan introduced me to MAME and his Cocktail Cabinet project. MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator and is a program which allows arcade games to be run on a PC. I originally wanted to build a cocktail type cabinet but since we had a 'extra' TV that could be used I decided on a stand up cabinet.
I based my plans on the Ultimate Arcade I cabinet and Scott's Unicade but made several adaptations according to my needs. One of the sites that helped the most in getting started with this project was the Build Your Own Arcade Controls (BYOAC) site. BYOAC has a wealth of information and anything you can't find there you can probably find by reading or posting to their forums. I purchased my control panel parts from the Groovy Game Gear site and Happ Controls. Pretty much everything else was obtained from Home Depot, Lowes or eBay.
I named the cabinet 'Zoopcade' as a tribute to our old production crew, Zoop Productions and used a play on our unofficial slogan 'Do it all Night' which I changed to 'Play it all Night'. Pretty clever eh? :)
If you want to ask me any questions about the cabinet feel free to email me.
