what up peoples?.....south dakota was one of the best parties i have been to
in a loooooong time....the vibe was thick and beautiful....the drive there
was a ton of fun....the stop light in wyoming that had directions on how to
cross the street properly....the stop in SD where dmx got his picture taken
in front of a sign that said "on the run"....the most beautiful rainbow i
have ever seen that ended a few feet right in front of us, or so it
seemed...and then the double rainbow at that.....then it started raining and
we finally made it to the space...the first few people got out and walked up
to the building, and opened the door...what did we see but a bunch of old
square dancers who invited us to join them!!....so we walked around the
building, and eventually found the right door to go into....the space was
nice...and a lot bigger than some i have seen here in denver...we all sat
around and talked for awhile and then tilz stepped up to the takes to kick
the party off....nice set by the way!!!...i don't think i ever let you know
that it kicked ass....next thing i know it was my turn to get on the
decks...i started off with a sample that just said music, and these kids
looked at me like what the hell???....then i just busted in with the beat
and they started dancing....gotta love that....i was three songs into my set
when all of a sudden the music just shut off....i guess i kicked the plug
for the mixer out of the socket, since it was right by my feet and i didn't
realize it....oops....so ishe came over and plugged it back in....thanks
boy....i dropped some speed garage and those kids just went off....next
thing i knew it was time for dmx to take over....he stepped up to the decks
with elmo in his pants...what a nut case this guy is....but i guess that is
why i love hanging around with him...a TON'O'FUN, you dummy-head... well, he
started scratching it up and set the party off....then he took elmo out of
his pants and started scratching with the tickle me elmo...told you guys
this guy is a nut...dmx stepped off the tables after only thirty (forty?)
minutes of his set and let ishe have the rest of his time...one of the
coolest things i have seen done in a long time...ishe tore it up with his
electro/breaks....his first party in two years and he let those kids really
have it...some girl even took off her shirt while he was playing...what was
up with that?!!!!... big up to ishe, my boy, and the newest member of the
*303* collective...congrats....then came time for the jungle set....trigga
happy cyko from omaha....this guy has so much talent...the best jungle i
have heard in a really really long time....since i rarely listen to jungle
anymore...then thc bust out with this "lucy in the sky with diamonds"
shit....made EVERYONE go wild....much props to him for masterminding that
track...very talented kid....up next was DQ....who had to take over shazad's
spot since he never showed up....where were you at?...i wanted to finally
meet you....but anyway, DQ used slippy's records since he wasn't expecting
to spin, and he did a damn good job without even knowing the records he was
playing....big up to him for that...up next was pharoah...another omaha
dj...he layed a really nice trance set to bring the party to the
close...gotta love trance in the morning...then the lights came on and there
were still some SD kids dancing until the music was turned off...all in all
it was a very good party and well worth the drive that we had to make to go
up there....we then retired back to the the crash space for the remainder of
the morning until it was time for us to head on out....i want to send a big
shout out to all the denver peeps that made it up for the party....josh
(brderxxx), who i saw was taking pictures throughout the night...are you
going to put them up on your web-site?....joe (e-plur)...smoking is bad for
you, can i have a cigarette?...oh, and a light?....christoph, who i didn't
talk to that much, but i did notice he was a dancing maniac for most of the
night...=)...karen (jackalope), only a brief meeting with her, but big ups
for coming out....how about a little review of the party in
orbis?..=)...jonathan (the big yellow puffy coat guy)....hillary
(love)...who invited all the SD kids down to denver for quiddity II and an
after-party at her house....dave (is it 4:20 yet?)....dq...hows the # theory
going?....jenn (my girlfriend) who gave me a new dj name which i won't
mention here...matthew (my lil' bro) for coming to my first gig....i love
you kid....dmx, my boy, thanks for the records
dee-dee-deedee-de-deedee.ayayayayayyaa.... slippy, for making some funny ass
comments through out the trip and the porn bass before...ishe, for just
being himself...and finally a REALLY BIG SHOUT OUT TO ZOOP PRODUCTIONS for
having us all out there for a great time....can't wait for the next party
you guys throw...=)...and thanks to everyone who gave me props for my set,
it was my first time playing at a real party since i started spinning 6
months ago....you made me so happy i almost cried, for real...ok, sorry i
ran off at the mouth, but this was one of the best weekends i have had in a
long time and i just wanted to share it with you all...and if you have read
this far into the post, big shout out to you for reading the whole
